Iris Foundation Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Decorative Arts, granted since 1997 by the New York based Iris Foundation, which spreads awareness of world cultures and supports education in decorative arts, design history and material culture. These annual awards are granted to academicians, businesspeople and professionals who have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of decorative arts. In 2012, the Koç family received the award in recognition of their support for arts and culture, in particular the opening of the Koç family Galleries of Ottoman Art at the Metropolitan Museum.
