GLODEM

GLODEM, full name THE CENTER FOR RESEARCH ON GLOBALIZATION, PEACE, AND DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE, research center based at Koç University. It was formed in 2004 as a communication and discussion network for teaching staff concerned with the effects of globalization on the dynamics and interactions of national and international politics and economics. In 2010, it received approval from the Higher Education Council (YÖK) to become a research center. At first, the center’s two fundamental areas of expertise were: globalization and the political economy; democratic governance and administration. Peace and conflict resolution were added later.
