Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation

Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation, a civil society organization engaged in “educational, cultural, artistic and healthcare initiatives. The foundation contributes to the public good by giving material and moral support to people and organizations, aiming to raise public-spirited individuals that are of benefit to Turkish society.” Established on October 27, 2003, by Suna Kıraç, İnan Kıraç and İpek Kıraç, the foundation works in strategic partnership with other civil society bodies: the Vehbi Koç Foundation, TEGV and Galatasaray Education Foundation.

The first large project of the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation was the Pera Museum in Istanbul, a private museum that houses a number of valuable collections. The other large project, the Istanbul Research Institute, researches the city’s history, cultural make-up and human profile, while at the same time developing and supporting projects in line with this objective. A third large project currently in the planning stage is the Suna Kıraç Cultural Center which will house large concert and theatre halls together with exhibition spaces.
