Arıkan, Ömer

Arıkan, Ömer (b. ?), physician and director. Served as chief physician and responsible director of the American Hospital between 2001 and 2003.

He graduated from Dicle University School of Medicine in 1982 and, after completing his compulsory service, underwent his general surgery residency at the SSK Samatya Hospital (1984–88). After completion, he worked as a surgeon at various state hospitals from 1988 to 1994, following which he was appointed chief physician at the Kadıköy Şifa Hospital. He was chief physician and responsible director of the American Hospital between 2001 and 2003. Dr. Arıkan has worked freelance for some time and is currently working at the MedEra Hospital in Baku, Azerbaijan.
