Durak, (Osman) Turgay

Durak, (Osman) Turgay (b. January 17, 1952, Istanbul), engineer and director. From 2010 to 2015, he served on the Vehbi Koç Foundation Board of Directors, representing Koç Holding, where he held the position of CEO.
 
After graduating from Robert College in 1970, Durak completed his undergraduate and master’s studies in mechanical engineering at Northwestern University in the USA in 1974. In 1976, he began working as an application engineer at Ford Otosan. He became assistant general manager of marketing in 1986 and assistant general manager of purchasing in 1987. In 2000, he was appointed chief assistant general manager in charge of production, becoming general manager in 2002. From 2007 to 2010, he was president of the Koç Holding Automotive Group and was also a member of the Koç Holding Board of Directors and CEO from April 2010 to April 2015. He retired from the role on March 31, 2015. 
 
From 2004 to 2010, Durak was chair of the Automotive Manufacturers Association Board of Directors and has been a member of the Tüpraş Board of Directors since April 2010.
