Koç University Health Sciences Campus, location of the health-related units of Koç University (KU) in Topkapı, Istanbul. Designed by the US architectural company Cannon Design, the campus covers an area of approximately 214,000 square meters. The design aims to create a campus environment with the flexibility to respond to the needs of the future and which promotes interdisciplinary integration and collaboration. The first stage of construction work was completed in September 2014 and the second stage in the final quarter of 2016.
The campus can provide teaching and assembly space for 2,500 people at any one time and houses the Koç University Hospital general, pediatric and oncology hospital units, as well as KU Schools of Medicine and Nursing, SANERC and the RMK Academy of Interventional Medicine, Education and Simulation (AIMES), lodgings, and dormitories for nursing students.
