Artam, (Mehmet) Evren (b. June 5, 1937, Istanbul – d. April 23, 2008, Istanbul), director. Represented Koç Holding on the Vehbi Koç Foundation Board of Directors between 1997 and 2002.
After completing his secondary education at Galatasaray High School in 1957, Artam continued his education at the Istanbul Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences until 1961. He joined Uniroyal, one of the Koç Holding companies, in 1964 on completion of his military service. He was accounting manager at Uzel (1965–76) and deputy general manager at Asil Çelik (1976–79). Artam subsequently served as general manager of Mavi Çelik and was appointed president of Garanti Bank (1981). After working as financial coordinator at Koç Holding (1983–84), he went on to serve as executive director of Ram Foreign Trade Inc. (1984–89). He was general manager of Ram from 1989 to 1992 and Koç Yatırım from 1992 to 1997, following which he became president of Koç Holding Foundations in 1997, continuing in the post until his retirement in 2000.
Artam also served as chair of the board at both the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey (1988–90) and TURKTRADE (1990–92), as well as vice president of the Foreign Economic Relations Board Turkish-American Business Councils (1990–92).
