Read the Silence Project

Read the Silence Project, founded by Boğaziçi University (BU) and maintained by Koç Holding and the Vehbi Koç Foundation to support the cognitive development and education of deaf people in Turkey.
 
The project was developed by BU academics expert in linguistics and education, who were convinced of the need for the deaf to access knowledge in order to fit into society. The project covers contributions to the linguistic acquisition and cognitive development of deaf children up to the age of six, and the production of educational materials in Turkish Sign Language and Turkish to improve the Turkish skill of adults over 15.
