Foundation for Training and Protecting Children with Intellectual Disabilities (Zihinsel Yetersiz Çocukları Yetiştirme ve Koruma Vakfı, ZİÇEV), a non–governmental organization which aims to provide care, rehabilitation, adequate education and career development opportunities to children with intellectual disabilities. Established in Ankara by a group of volunteers led by Makbule Ölçen in 1982, ZİÇEV leads efforts to enable people requiring special education to be self–sufficient, independent and productive individuals. In 2016, the
Vehbi Koç Foundation covered part of the operational costs for ZİÇEV's Istanbul branch.
